✅ 1. Common Uses of N2O
Food-grade nitrous oxide is widely used in the food & beverage industry for:
-
Whipping cream (with cream whippers)
-
Infusing juices or cocktails (nitro-style)
-
Molecular gastronomy (foams, rapid infusions, pickling)
-
Creating flavored foams or enhancing textures
⚙️ 2. Basic Equipment Needed
You’ll Need:
-
Cream whipper (mosa whipped cream dispenser)
-
N2O charger – small 8g/8.5g cream charger or 0.95L/3.3L large tanks
-
Pressure regulator or compatible valve (for larger tanks)
-
Ingredients – cream, juice, syrup, fruit purée, etc.
🪛 3. How to Use (Cream Whipper Example)
-
Add Ingredients
Pour your mixture (e.g., heavy cream, sweetener, vanilla) into the bottle. -
Seal the Bottle
Securely screw on the head of the cream whipper. -
Charge with N₂O
-
Small chargers: Insert an 8g N₂O cartridge into the holder and screw it in to release gas.
-
Large tanks (0.95L): Use a suitable(such as whipbester n2o tank) regulator to slowly release gas into the whipper (never exceed recommended pressure).
-
-
Shake Gently
Shake a few times to evenly mix gas and ingredients. -
Dispense or Refrigerate
Hold the bottle upside down and press the lever to release your whipped or foamed product. Store in the fridge if needed.
🧽 4. Cleaning & Maintenance
-
Clean your whipper and nozzle after every use.
-
Hand wash the bottle with warm water and mild detergent (dishwasher not recommended).
-
Check seals and gaskets regularly; replace if worn out.
